Kris Jenner was born on 5thNovember, 1955, in San Diego, California. She married Robert Kardashian in the year of 1978. They had 4 children before they divorced in 1989: Robert Jr., Kourtney, Kim & Khloé. She married Bruce Jenner in 1991 & started managing the family franchise. The couple had 2 daughters, Kendall & Kylie. In 2007, reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired that gave rise to several spin-offs. In 2013, Kris Jenner was in talks about hosting her talk show. Her father, Robert Houghton, was an aircraft engineer. Karen is her younger sister.
Her mother sold the family home in the Point Loma area of San Diego after the couple divorced in 1962. Kris, her mom & sister then moved to Clairemont, California, where Kris got admitted to Longfellow Elementary School.
After her parents' divorce, Kris developed a cancerous bone tumor. Luckily, the cancer did not spread anymore. After a surgery to remove the tumor, Kris Jenner was given a clean bill of health.
A few years later, Kris's mother remarried to businessman Harry Shannon. They moved to Oxnard, California & after three months there, Harry's business partner ran off with all the company's money. So, the family moved back to San Diego.
After graduation from Clairemont High School, Kris was far more interested in "getting out in the world" & becoming a wife & mother, than in going to college.
On July 8, 1978, Kris married an eminent attorney, Robert Kardashian, whose best friend was athlete & actor O.J. Simpson. Kris became fast friends with J. Simpson's wife, Nicole Simpson.
Kris's & Robert's marriage yielded 4 children. Three of them are daughters named Kourtney, Kim & Khloé & the only son is Robert named after his father. The couple divorced in 1989. In 1990, Kris was devastated to learn that her friend, Nicole Brown Simpson, had been killed & Nicole’s husband, Simpson was being accused of this murder. Kris Jenner’s ex-husband, Robert, gained huge popularity by serving as Simpson's defense during his trial. In 2003, Robert Kardashian died of esophageal cancer.
In 1991, Kris married again to former Olympic gold medal winning Bruce Jenner. As a result, she became the stepmother of Bruce's children from his two previous marriages. They are Burt, Casey, Brandon & Brody Jenner. Kris & her husband, Bruce, also had 2 daughters of their own: Kendall & Kylie.
When Kris married Bruce, she became not only his wife, but his manager. Soon after, Kris was negotiating his endorsement deals & promoting his career as a racecar driver, in addition to directing the family franchise. In 2007, Kris Jenner met with producer Ryan Seacrest. The result was the wildly popular reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, featuring Kris & her family living the atypical everyday lives of celebrity entrepreneurs. The show has since led to multiple spin-offs, including Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami which was later renamed Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kourtney & Kim Take New York & Khloé & Lamar.
Working as the manager of her children's business ventures & public appearances, Kris is a self described "momager," & credits herself with coining the term. In 2013, Kris Jenner was in talks of hosting her daytime TV talk show on FOX.
