Michael Clarke Duncan was born on 10th Dec 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, was an America actor, best known for his role as John Coffey in the “The Green Mile”, for which he was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe. Michael Clarke Duncan was also recognized for his appearances in motion pictures like “The Full 9 Yards”, “The Scorpion King”, “Armageddon” & “Daredevil”, likewise for voice acting roles in works like “Brother Bear” and “Kung Fu Panda”. He made many TV appearances as a troublesome guy and/or chucker-out. On 3rd Sep 2012, Duncan died of complications from a coronary failure that he had suffered 2 months previously, on 13th July 2012. He was fifty four years old.

Early life of Duncan

Michael Clarke Duncan was born in Chicago, Illinois & grows up in a single parent family along with his sister, Judy, and mother. Michael Clarke Duncan became a house cleaner when his father left. He always wanted to act, however he had to drop out of the Communications program at Alcorn State University to support his family when his mother became sick. Michael Clarke Duncan's massive frame of 6 feet five inches (196 cm) and 315 pounds (142 kg) helped him in his job of excavating ditches for the People's Gas Service and as a chucker-out at many Chicago clubs. Michael Clarke Duncan also played basketball at Kankakee Junior College and for one season at Alcorn State. In 1979, he participated in the dance palace Demolition Night at Linguist Park, home of the Chicago White Sox, where he was among the first hundred folks to run onto the sector and he slid into third base. During the following riot his silver buckle was purloined when he was stealing a baseball bat from the dugout.

As noteworthy as his spectacular physical presence, though, was the private odyssey that took him to the top of his profession.

Michael Clarke Duncan and his sister, Judith, were raised in the suburbs by their single mother Jean, who in spite of the family's modest circumstances had ambitions for her youngsters. She steered her son away from the drugs and alcohol that were rampant in the area, and inspired him to focus on classes. Michael Clarke Duncan’s size made him a natural for his high school's squad. His mother, however, feared the injuries that came from taking part in soccer, and urged him to pursue alternative extracurricular activities. Michael Clarke Duncan was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Actors Association awards for Best Supporting Actor, Broadcast Film Critics Association, NAACP Image Award, Male Star of Tomorrow award, Showiest Exhibitors' Meeting (all for “The Green Mile”, Released 1999-2000).

Death of Duncan

On 13th July 2012, Michael Clarke Duncan suffered a coronary failure. Due to his fiancĂ©e and former contestant on “The Apprentice”, Omarosa Manigault performing CPR on the actor, he survived the attack, but didn’t recover fully. Michael Clarke Duncan died of heart complications caused by the attack, on 3rdSep 2012.
