Vanessa Hudgens is an American Celebrity, singer and actress. She is best well-known for her portrayal of the character Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. She got critical acclaim for her role in the 2009 film Bandslam.

Her full name is Vanessa Anne Hudgens, but well known as Vanessa Hudgens. She was born in December 14, 1988 in Salinas, California and has lived with her parents toward the West Coast, from Oregon to Southern California. Vanessa joined in Orange County High School of the Arts before selecting a home-school system as soon as she completed the seventh grade.

Starting at the age of eight, Hudgens performed in musical theater as a singer, and acted in local productions of Carousel, The King and I, The Music Man, The Wizard of Oz, and Cinderella. Her acting career started at the age of 15 in an episode of the sitcom Still Standing.

 

In 2005, Hudgens was awarded the lead role of Gabriella Montez in the Movie High School Musical. In the film Hudgens' portraying the new girl at high school who falls for the captain of the basketball team. High School Musical was Disney Channel's most watched film that year with 7.7 million audiences in its premiere broadcast in the US.

Hudgens recorded numerous songs which had commercial success. “Breaking free" is a duet song with Zac Efron, went on to become Hudgens' only Top ten hit on the BillboardHot 100 to date. When it topping at number 4 on the chart. This song also reached number 9 in the UK.

In 2006, Hudgens start work on her debut album “V”. This album sold 34,000 copies in its first week of publish, and debuted at 24 on the Billboard200 chart in the US.

In 2007, Hudgens reprised her role as Gabriella Montez in the sequel of High School Musical, High School Musical 2. The premiere was seen by a total of over 17.2 million viewers. It is a highest-rated Disney Channel Movie of all time.

In 2009, Hudgens repeated her role as Gabriella Montez in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Her performance in the film made her success favorite movie actress in the Kids Choice Awards. Following the achievement of the High School Musical series, Hudgensannounced she would like to take a break from her music career to focus more on acting.

In 2010, Hudgens joined the cast of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the sequel of the 2008 film Journey to the Center of the Earth, with Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson. This movie grossed $103,836,147 in North America and $222,000,000 in other countries, for a worldwide total of earnings is $325,860,290. 

In 2011, Hudgens Caught Kissing with actor Austin Butler, who starred with her BFF Ashley Tisdale in Sharpay'sFabulous Adventure.

Following the success of the first High School Musical, Hudgens turn into relationship with co-star Zac Efron. The couple became a common target for the media, and in turn the BBC predicted that Hudgens would be a "household name" in the US. The couple, in a similar way to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
