Marco Antonio Muñiz Ruiz Rivera, better known as Marc Anthony (born on September 16 of 1968 in New York) is a singer and actor States of origin Puerto Rican. His songs range from salsa, to the bolero, the ballad and pop. He jumped internationally by Paul Simon, whom he considers his teacher and mentor, who chose from thousands of candidates to be the protagonist of his play "The Capeman".

His name was chosen by his parents, Felipe Muniz and Guillermina Rivera, after the Mexican singer of the same names which are fans, but had to change it so it does not confuse them professionally.

In 1988, Anthony records his first album in freestyle named “Rebel”. 1993 he express himself as a specialist of Salsa genres by RMM records. Then he is rocking the world in his singing, songwriting and composition in salsa music.  

Marc Anthony’s private life have been many events, from a relationship with Debbie Rosado (one NYPD) was born their daughter Arianna, an essential element in the life of Marc and he composed a song, My Baby You.

After he married Dayanara Torres, the Miss Universe 1993, with whom he had two sons: Ryan and Cristian (the latter is named in honor of his father professes admiration for the Mexican singer Cristian Castro). Between the births of two children was no crisis in the couple, causing the separation of the same. Subsequent to this, Anthony and Dayanara, remarried. In October 2003 finally ended the relationship when false rumors surfaced that Marc had had a child out of wedlock with a follower, but after three tests DNA found that the woman involved was lying.

In February 2004, her friend American singer Jennifer Lopez asked for his help to produce the song Sway for the soundtrack of the film shall We Dance?  In that time in which the couple was formed, and on June 5 of 2004 is married in the luxurious mansion that has Jennifer in Miami.

In 2006 January, Jennifer Lopez started filming the movie "El Cantante" based on the life of controversial Puerto Rican singer Hector Lavoe, for which she asked her husband that he would be playing Hector and she would play "Puchi"'s wife Lavoe, in addition to being the producer of the film.

In 2007 Marc Anthony debuted as a producer for another artist, actively participating in the production, composition & vocals of the first album in Spanish of his wife Jennifer Lopez called “Como Ama Una Mujer "debuted No. 1 selling magazine Billboard. Also, that same year, Marc released his new album " El Cantante "which contained the themes of the soundtrack of the film of the same name starring him, this album became a bestseller debuted also at number one on Billboard.

The February 22, 2008 Marc Anthony & Lopez gives birth to twins, Emme & Maximilian. On July 16, 2011 the couple announced their separation to the press. After separation from Jennifer Lopez, he began a relationship with model Shannon de Lima but a year apart. Currently Marc Anthony maintains a relationship with the designer Chloe Green.

On Saturday February 28, 2009 Marc Anthony is presented in the 50th International Song Festival of Viña del Mar , Chile , the festival of the most important Latin American song, also on that day appeared Simply Red , KC and the Sunshine Band , Juanes , Joan Manuel Serrat , Carlos Santana , Camila , Luis Fonsi , Natalino , Daddy Yankee , RKM & Ken-Y among others, the show was broadcast to over 50 countries and successfully captivated the "monster" being one of presentations more important to him. After that makes several appearances in the capital of that country.

In 2012 was presented at the Manacacías Summer Festival to be held in Colombia in the municipality of Puerto Gaitan which is located in the Department of Meta, along with other artists such as Eddy Herrera.

The February 23, 2012 is again in the 53rd International Festival of Viña del Mar, Chile, taking the highest honors that delivers festival audiences, in the event sang the song from his album "Icons" "And how is it?”along with Jose Luis Perales (Jury). 

On March 3, 2012, after 17 years of being in Uruguay, Marc presents his show at the Charrua Stadium of Montevideo before 25,000 spectators.

In the same year appeared in various cities in the United States with Chayanne and Marco Antonio Solis on tour called TOUR GIGANT3S.

Marc Anthony started is acting career in 1995 in Hackers, as supporting roles. Then he acts so many films in various characteristics, most renowned are: In the Time of the Butterflies, El Cantante, Man on Fire etc.

His more attention was in music from childhood. For his excellent contribution in music world in 2009 Marc Anthony received Lifetime Achievement Award from CHCI Chair’s.
